Bombing range research to be revealed to community

The research is not ready to be unveiled yet. 

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers recently conducted an investigation into “possible hazards or contamination” at the former bombing range that much of Carolina Forest sits on, and its findings are expected to be made public in the coming months.

The Corps had hoped to hold a public meeting this month to discuss the results of the investigation. However, a date for that meeting has not been set, said Caroline Borgini, an associate scientist working with Corps contractor HydroGeoLogic.
