MARTINSBURG — A Colorado-based clean energy company has announced plans to install a $100 million solar-production facility in Berkeley County, making it one of the first utility-scale solar projects in the Mountain State.
During its regularly scheduled meeting Thursday morning, the Berkeley County Council announced the Torch Clean Energy, or Torch, plans to install a $100 million solar electricity production facility at the former Dupont Potomac River Works explosives manufacturing facility, to be referred to as the Bedington Energy Facility.
