City steps into chemical contamination at Northstar

The City of Cambridge will spend $10,000 to assist in the mediation
process surrounding a chemical contamination problem in Preston.
Cambridge council passed a motion this week authorizing the expenditure
of $10,000 to assist in the mediation process involving Bishop Street
area residents and Northstar Aerospace Canada Inc.

The two former committee members and their families were forced to leave
their homes and take up residence in a local hotel after high levels of
trichloroethylene (TCE) were found in their homes.
